The aim of IDDO is to popularize crafts, local traditions and local cultural identity, presenting all this in a modern and contemporary way. Today, we are proud to partner with authentic and innovative designers and local artisans of our country – textile makers, potters, weavers. With them, we constantly introduce new high-quality products or product families. Each piece of furniture or detail hides a person behind it, with whom the story of the creation of that item began.
We discovered woodworker Darius Balčiūnas from Kriūkai village in Šakiai district unexpectedly, but we were impressed by his love for nature and wood. We seem to share the same philosophy and lifestyle. Woodworking is not just a job, it’s a way of life. Therefore, these candlesticks were made a good year ago and were waiting for their turn. Our team’s idea was implemented, but it was maturing. He was waiting for his chance. We say the CIRCLE candlestick stands out because it can be looked at and meditated upon. Everything just happens in a circle, the circle of life.
